President Muizzu Inaugurates Official Student Camping Ground at CROSSROADS Maldives

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated the official camping ground for students yesterday at CROSSROADS Maldives.

Developed to support cadet, Girl Guide, and Scout programmes, the facility offers a dedicated space for students to participate in camping activities and experiential learning. It will also be used for academic research and field-based studies, marking the introduction of a designated camping site in the Greater Malé Region after many years.

Minister of Education Dr Ismail Shafeeu, who spoke at the event noted that students in the Greater Malé Area had been without a designated camping ground for nearly 15 years.

Following the inauguration, President Muizzu toured the site. The event was attended by the Minister of Education, Cabinet members, and senior officials from the Cadet Corps, Girl Guides, and Scout Associations.
