Senior executives from leading global financial institutions and investment firms, including BlackRock, Barclays, HSBC, Standard Chartered and Bank of America International, were also present.

President Muizzu contributed to discussions on advancing debt-for-climate and debt-for-nature initiatives, and on strengthening private sector partnerships in green finance, the President’s Office said. He outlined the challenges and acute financing needs faced by the Maldives and other Small Island Developing States (SIDS), while presenting recommendations to support equitable access to sustainable finance.
