President Welcomes the Ceasefire Agreement Between Israel and Gaza

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu welcomed the ceasefire deal reached yesterday, ending the 15 months of genocidal war in Gaza.

In a post on X, President Muizzu expressed his grattitude on behalf of the Maldives to all countries that facilitated this agreement.

In his post, the President appreciated all countries facilitating this agreement.

“We urge the international community to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire, allowing the return home of those displaced, and access to humanitarian assistance,” he said on X.

Additionally, the President called on Israel to pay reparations to Palestine and urged the international community to provide Palestine with the urgent support it needs to rebuild after the devastation caused by the Israeli aggression.
