Jumhooree Party (JP) presidential candidate Qasim Ibrahim emphasised his dedication to delivering essential services to the public while ensuring affordability through his company VILLA Group of Companies, during a campaign rally in Sh. Feydhoo.
In his conversation with Feydhoo’s residents, Qasim stated that his aspiration was not solely about obtaining political power. He expressed his hope for a peaceful and progressive trajectory for the nation after 2018, which would have allowed him to step away from the reform process.
However, recognising the ongoing challenges facing the country, Qasim chose to reengage with his long-standing partners in the reform movement. He articulated that his motivation was purely to contribute towards the betterment of the nation and alleviate the prevailing circumstances, devoid of any personal agenda.
Qasim described his business endeavors as a form of national service. He underscored that his involvement in sectors such as aviation and gas aimed to stabilise the costs of services accessible to the public.
“I consider this a service rendered to the country. Approximately 60 percent of the profits I accrued from my business ventures during the reform period were directed towards assisting humanity and fostering the all-round development of the nation. This encompasses political, social, and economic advancements, catering to the needs of every individual,” Qasim elaborated.
