Addressing concerns about potential hacking, ECM declared that, “after the Local Council Election 2020, it has been used in all the by-elections, and garnered the trust of citizens and political parties.”
The Commission re-iterated that the portal is operated under the guidance and oversight of an IT security consultant, ensuring that all data remains secure and protected.
Furthermore, ECM has emphasised that no former members of the Commission have been provided access to the re-registration portal.
ECM has urged the public to not spread lies that could hamper the peoples trust in the elections being fair.
