Registrations Now Open for Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race 2025

Dhiraagu has officially opened registrations for the 16th edition of the Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR), the country’s largest and only international running event.
The race is scheduled to take place on Friday, 24 October 2025, at Central Park, Hulhumalé. Announced at a press conference held today at the Dhiraagu Head Office, interested participants can now register for the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K Open, or 5K Corporate Team categories via dmrr.dhiraagu.com.mv.
Speaking at the event, Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, said their goal is to foster a culture of fitness, competitive spirit, and community engagement with this race.

“This year’s DMRR marks an exciting new chapter as we introduce a newly certified route designed to enhance the overall race experience for our runners. We are looking forward to seeing increased participation in the corporate team category, alongside athletes from across the globe,” Mirshan
The 2025 edition will offer a total of MVR 280,000 in cash prizes across all race categories.
Listed in the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) World Running calendar, and with a World Athletics-certified route, DMRR attracts runners from across the Maldives and beyond. The event is recognised for fostering a culture of fitness, sportsmanship, and community engagement.
Continuing its long-standing focus on child protection, DMRR 2025 will serve as a platform for advocacy and fundraising by NGOs working in the field. As part of its commitment, Dhiraagu will donate MVR 200,000 to the top five endorsed NGOs nominated by participants during registration. Additionally, MVR 100 from each registration and proceeds from special bib sales will be distributed equally among the partner NGOs.
Registration will remain open until the limit of 4,000 participants is reached.
