Retirement of CP Naveen Marked With Ceremony

The retirement of Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen has been marked with a special ceremony following his departure from active service.
Ismail Naveen served in the Maldives Police Service for 32 years. He was appointed Commissioner of Police on 10 June last year and officially retired on 18 February.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihsan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikuree and other commissioned officers. During the event, Naveen was presented with a plaque of honour traditionally awarded to commissioners who retire with distinction. The plaque includes the Commissioner’s colours, medals, uniform items and police identity card.
Over the course of his career, Naveen served in multiple departments within the Maldives Police Service, undertaking operational, investigative, administrative and support roles. Prior to his appointment as Commissioner of Police, he held the post of Deputy Commissioner.
