Rumours of Handing Over Flats Today is Fake News, Says Gov’t

The Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development has refuted the recent rumours circulating on social media regarding the immediate handover of flats to recipients under Gedhoruveriyaa scheme. 

In an official statement released today, the Ministry denied disseminating any such information and emphasised that the news is false.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has put a hold on flat issuance pending an investigation into potential corruption. The Ministry insists that the allocation process will only initiate after the ACC concludes its probe.

The housing scheme of the previous government targets Male’-registered citizens and Male’ residents living in the city for over 15 years. Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) is overseeing the development project, ensuring the housing units are completed on schedule.
