Saudia Marks 10 Years of Operations in the Maldives

Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, celebrated ten years of operations in the Maldives with a ceremony held at Velana International Airport yesterday.

To mark the anniversary, passengers arriving on flight SV838 were welcomed at the airport, while departing passengers at Saudia Terminal 1 received commemorative treats on scheduled services.

Saudia has maintained regular operations to the Maldives since launching its services, contributing to the growth of the country’s tourism sector and strengthening bilateral ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.

According to the Maldives Airports Company (MACL), the airline commenced scheduled flights to the Maldives on 30 March 2016.
