Throughout the day, citizens exercised their right to vote, casting their ballots until the polls closed at 5:00 p.m.
In the second round of the presidential election, the eligible voter count has risen to 282,804, exceeding the 282,395 voters in the initial round.
Additionally, the number of deployed ballot boxes has increased to 586, compared to the 574 used in the first round.
Furthermore, the ECM has placed ballot boxes in five countries for this year’s presidential election. Polling stations have been established in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Trivandrum (India), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and London (United Kingdom).
To ensure a smooth and timely counting process, provisions were made to expedite the tallying of votes from any empty queues by 5:00 pm.
As a result, preliminary results from several ballot boxes have already been disclosed, indicating the anticipation that surrounds this second round of presidential elections.
