Second Round Voters List Set for Public Release on September 26th

Election Commission Vice-President Ismail Habeeb has confirmed that the re-registration forms are currently undergoing validation checks, and the final list will be unveiled on the 24th of this month, with an opportunity for complaints open tomorrow till Saturday. 

Furthermore, the official signing of the voters list by the candidates is scheduled for September 26th.

Re-registration for the second round of the presidential election was available from the 15th to the 17th of this month, during which a total of 47,714 individuals submitted applications. Notably, 26,011 opted for online registration, while 21,703 chose to use paper forms, submitting their applications directly to the EC counters.

The latest statistics reveal that 282,803 individuals are eligible to cast their votes in the upcoming second round of the presidential election. This marks an increase of 408 voters compared to the initial voters list for the first round.
