SIMDI Resu and Electrolux Professional Host Workshop on Sustainable Laundry Solutions

SIMDI Resu, in collaboration with Electrolux Professional, concluded a two-day workshop titled “The Future of Sustainable Laundry & Fabric Care” on 29 and 30 July at the SIMDI Resu Showroom in Malé. 

The event brought together professionals from the resort and hospitality sectors to explore innovative, eco-friendly laundry technologies.

Led by Tjin Hok Kho, Lagoon Specialist for the Asia-Pacific region at Electrolux Professional, the workshop focused on sustainable laundry practices and next-generation equipment. With over 25 years of experience in commercial laundry systems, Kho provided live demonstrations of wet-cleaning solutions and energy-efficient technologies designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising fabric quality.

Participants gained practical insights into how modern equipment from Electrolux Professional can enhance efficiency, lower operational costs, and improve environmental outcomes in hospitality laundry operations.

The event highlighted SIMDI Resu and Electrolux Professional’s joint efforts to transform laundry practices across the Maldivian resort sector, setting higher standards in sustainability and operational performance.
