Singapore Airlines has announced that it will upgrade one of its two daily flights to the Maldives by deploying a long-haul Airbus A350 aircraft from next month.

The airline currently operates Airbus A350 medium-haul aircraft on the route. With the change, passengers will benefit from more spacious business class seating, although the total number of seats in the premium cabin will be slightly reduced.

The decision to introduce the A350 long-haul aircraft is intended to enhance comfort and convenience for long-distance travellers, particularly tourists from Australia, Europe, and the United States.

Singapore Airlines currently operates two daily flights to Velana International Airport, with one service to be operated by the long-haul A350 from next month.
