Siyam Calls Gasim to Support President Solih

Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) President Ahmed Siyam has extended an invitation to the Jumhooree Party’s (JP) presidential candidate Gasim Ibrahim to back President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in the upcoming presidential election.

At an HDh. Makunudhoo campaign rally Siyam, addressed supporters and responded to claims made by JP leader Gasim during a campaign event on Siyam’s birth island, N. Lholhi.

Siyam made it clear that his allegiance for the next five years lies with President Solih. 

In a conciliatory tone, he extended an invitation to Gasim, saying, “I hold Gasim in high regard. Nevertheless, I urge Gasim to consider joining our ranks as a friend. It could be more advantageous for him.”

He pointed out the significant financial commitment Gasim has made in his bid for the presidency and argued that the Maldives would prosper under the leadership of the MDA and Adhalath Party coalition.
