Solih Meets Newly Elected MDP Parliamentarians

Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with the candidates from the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) who secured seats in the parliamentary elections held in April.

The MDP confirmed that Solih convened with all the elected MDP candidates currently in Male’ City. However, no further details regarding the discussions have been disclosed.

Earlier, Solih reiterated the commitment of the MDP’s candidates to continue holding the current administration accountable.

In the parliamentary elections held on April 21, the MDP fielded 90 candidates across 93 constituencies. Of these, only 12 candidates were successful in securing seats.
