Speaker of Parliament Departs for Official Visit to India

Speaker of the Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla has departed for India on an official visit. The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of the Speaker of India’s Lok Sabha and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
During the visit, Speaker Abdul Raheem is scheduled to meet the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the Vice President of India, and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. He will also hold discussions with other senior officials of the Indian government.
The Speaker is accompanied by several Members of Parliament, including Ibrahim Shujaau from Baarah Constituency, Mohamed Shahid from Hulhudhoo Constituency, Dr Anara Naeem from Huraa Constituency, Mohamed ‘Afoo’ Hamid from Kendhikolhudhoo Constituency, Abdulla Shareef from Kelaa Constituency, Ahmed Aifan from Henveiru North, Hussain Hameed from Kudahuvadhoo, Asadhullah Shihab from Gemanafushi Constituency, and Shamin Habeeb from Kurendhoo Constituency.
The visit is scheduled to conclude on 14 February.
