Special Training Launched to Enhance Television and Radio Production Skills

The Public Service Media (PSM) has commenced a series of specialised training programmes aimed at enhancing the skills of its employees in television and radio production.

The sessions are being held at the Maldives Media Institute (MMI), a training arm under PSM, and are led by experienced producers from India. The initiative is intended to strengthen the technical and creative capabilities of professionals working in broadcast media.

According to MMI, the programme has attracted 100 participants, comprising 80 PSM staff and 20 individuals from outside the organisation. The training focuses on modern concepts and techniques in programme production, with an emphasis on idea generation and public engagement.

The three-day programme seeks to raise awareness of industry standards in both television and radio, while also promoting creativity among content creators. The institute has indicated that similar training initiatives will be organised in the future as part of ongoing efforts to build media capacity in the country.
