The two-day meeting included the participation of sports ministers, officials from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), government representatives, and delegates from regional sporting and anti-doping bodies. It aimed to enhance regional cooperation and promote effective practices to protect the integrity of sport.
Key areas of discussion included reaffirming the collective commitment to clean sport, strengthening preparations for the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code, and developing coordinated responses to new and evolving threats to fair play.
This year marked the UAE’s second time hosting the ministerial meeting, following its previous hosting of the 17th edition in 2022. The most recent summit prior to this, the 19th, was held in Uzbekistan and brought together delegates from 38 countries.
