STELCO Donates MVR 500,000 to Support Palestine Telethon

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has contributed MVR 500,000 to the telethon “Palestine aa eku Dhivehin,” which translates to “Maldivians in Support of Palestine.” 

The event is organised by state media, Public Service Media (PSM). STELCO stated that the donation was made on behalf of its employees.

In support of the telethon, STELCO’s senior management and staff established a donation box in front of the company’s main building.

Within the first six hours, the telethon raised over MVR 1.8 million (USD 116,894.21).

The PSM Palestine telethon was inaugurated last morning by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who stressed the importance of enhancing efforts to support the people of Palestine.

A total of 13 donation boxes have been placed in the Malé region to collect funds for Palestine.
