According to the President’s Office, speaking at the ceremony, the First Lady highlighted the value of technical training for women, noting that it enhances their confidence, productivity, and ability to contribute meaningfully both at home and in society.

“Women shoulder significant responsibilities not only in professional and social settings but also within the home. Equipping them with technical expertise can bring about substantial positive change,” she said.

The course provided training on the safe and efficient use of electricity, basic electrical repairs, and energy conservation methods. STELCO emphasised that it is open to girls and women aged 16 and above, aiming to empower them with practical skills for daily life.

STELCO Managing Director Ahmed Shamah Rasheed and other senior officials attended the ceremony, commending the graduates for completing the programme and encouraging more women to participate in future courses.
