STO Healthcare supplied an advanced cardiovascular ultrasound system to Hulhumalé Hospital last Sunday, enhancing its cardiac, paediatric, and neonatal diagnostic capabilities.

According to the company, the GE Vivid E95 cardiovascular ultrasound system was officially introduced alongside a structured application training session at Hulhumalé Hospital on 22 February 2026. Healthcare professionals from the hospital attended the session, with representatives from Tree Top Hospital also participating, highlighting collaborative efforts to strengthen cardiac imaging services across the healthcare network.

Delivered through STO Healthcare’s authorised partnership with GE HealthCare, the system offers high-resolution cardiac imaging for detailed assessment of heart structure, function, and blood flow. It is equipped with probes suitable for adult, paediatric, and neonatal applications, supporting early detection of congenital heart conditions in newborns and comprehensive cardiac evaluations for patients of all ages, the company noted.

Cardiovascular disease remains a major global health concern, making early and accurate diagnosis critical. The new system is expected to improve diagnostic efficiency, support timely clinical decisions, and enhance patient outcomes. Local access to advanced cardiac imaging also reduces reliance on external referrals for specialised evaluations.

STO Healthcare provides full support for the system, including professional installation, structured application training, and ongoing technical service. Trained biomedical engineers and clinical application specialists, in collaboration with GE HealthCare experts, ensure healthcare professionals can effectively use the system. All systems come with comprehensive warranty coverage and structured after-sales service, including preventive maintenance and technical assistance.
