Suspects Arrested for Threatening Landlord, Causing Property Damage

Maldives Police Service has arrested four individuals in connection with an incident involving intimidation and property damage at a residence in the Galolhu district of Malé City.
According to police, a group of individuals forcibly entered a house in Galolhu and threatened the landlord. The incident, which was reported on Saturday evening, led to the arrests in the early hours of Sunday at approximately 00:45hrs.
The four suspects taken into custody from the scene have been identified as:
- Mohamed Aflah, 23, of Reethi Hiya, AA. Maalhos
- Ibrahim Ahnaf, 21, of Elas, N. Velidhoo
- Mohamed Azan, 23, of Haveyli, N. Manadhoo
- Ali Navaf, 21, of Fazaa, Th. Guraidhoo
All four were later presented before the Criminal Court, where they were remanded in custody for 15 days. Police stated that further investigations are ongoing.
Two Arrested for Alleged Drug Smuggling into Sh. Milandhoo
In a separate incident, two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to smuggle drugs into Sh. Milandhoo.
Maldives Police Service said the arrests were made during an operation based on intelligence received regarding a group travelling from Kulhudhuffushi City to Milandhoo on a dinghy.

The suspects have been identified as:
- Ahmed Shameer, 37, of Dhunbumaage, HDh. Kulhudhuffushi
- Ahmed Ismail, 31, of Huvafeny Asseyri, HDh. Hulhudhuffushi
According to police, the operation was carried out last Wednesday by Milandhoo Police Station in coordination with police intelligence. The suspects were arrested upon arrival at Milandhoo harbour, where they were searched, and 146 rubber packets containing substances believed to be drugs were found in their possession.
Both individuals have been remanded in custody for 15 days as investigations continue.
