Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 Kicks Off in Dhaalu Zone

The Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 Dhaalu Zone officially began on Friday, hosted by Sun Siyam Iru Veli and played at the Bandidhoo Futsal Ground in Dhaalu Atoll’s Bandidhoo Island.

Five resort teams are competing for the atoll championship: Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Baglioni Maldives, St. Regis Maldives Vommuli, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, and Angsana Velavaru.

According to Tekkers, the opening ceremony featured a performance by the Iru Veli Dance Group, followed by remarks from Mohamed Nashmee, Managing Director of Tekkers Maldives. Mohamed Najah, Executive Assistant Manager of Sun Siyam Iru Veli, also addressed the event, with greetings from chief guests Marco Rojas, General Manager of Baglioni Maldives, and Masdhooq Saeed, General Manager of Sun Siyam Iru Veli.

The tournament began with two group-stage fixtures. Baglioni Maldives defeated Sun Siyam Iru Veli 2–0, with both goals scored in the second half. Ahmed Inaf Abdulla of Baglioni was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Marco Rojas.

In the second match, St. Regis Maldives Vommuli secured a 3–2 victory over Sun Siyam Vilu Reef in a closely contested encounter. Amil Ali of St. Regis was named Man of the Match.

The Dhaalu Zone competition will continue this week with more group-stage matches as the teams battle for the title of zone champion.
