Theory Driving Licence Exams to Be Held at Ministry of Transport

The government has announced that the theory examination for driving licences in Malé City will now be conducted at the Ministry of Transport.

In a recent statement, the ministry explained that, as part of its range of services, the theory test for vehicle driving licences will be held at its premises.

Applicants who book their theory exam through the Safari Information Management System (SIMS) will now be required to select the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation as the designated test centre.

Until 15 November 2023, the theory examination was held at the Maldives Polytechnic, with the Ministry of Transport previously overseeing the service.

The Ministry of Transport is currently based in the Umar Zahir Building in Hulhumalé Phase 1.
