There is a Positive Shift in Attitudes Towards People with Disabilities, Says VP

Vice President Faisal Naseem expressed that there has been a noticeable shift in societal attitudes towards individuals with disabilities, citing increased acceptance.
This assertion was made during the commemorative Fun Fair event held in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Care Society of Maldives.
Addressing the audience, Faisal underscored the evolution in perspectives on people with disabilities since the establishment of the Care Society a quarter-century ago. He credited the heightened public awareness to the collective efforts of individuals, organisations, and government agencies.
Emphasising the significance of aiding the most vulnerable within the community, he added that fostering friendship and unity can lead to notable achievements.
Ismail Adhuham, Chairperson of the Executive Board of Care Society, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the organisation’s ongoing efforts to integrate individuals with special needs into society. He credited these endeavors to the collaborative work of individuals, organizations, and government agencies, resulting in a more inclusive society.
As part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations, Care Society unveiled a special song at the Fun Fair. Faisal actively participated in the event, visiting various stalls and enjoying the diverse stage performances on display.
