Three Arrested Over Attempted Break-In and Assault at Fuvahmulah Airport

Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with an incident at Fuvahmulah City Airport, where a group allegedly attempted to climb over the airport fence and assaulted a security guard on duty.

According to the police, the altercation occurred at around 4:05am on Sunday when the security guard tried to stop several people attempting to scale the airport fence. A physical confrontation ensued, during which the guard was attacked.

The three suspects were subsequently detained and later produced before the court, which ordered that they be held in police custody for 15 days pending further investigation.

Police have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
