Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has recorded its highest single-day operational volume, completing more than 7,000 passenger transfers on Sunday.

In a statement shared, the company reported that it had also carried out over 800 take-offs and landings during the day, marking the largest number of operations in its history.

TMA described the achievement as a reflection of its operational preparedness and its capacity to deliver large-scale connectivity across the Maldives. The company also acknowledged the efforts of its employees, noting that the milestone was made possible through close coordination and the management of complex operations during periods of peak demand.

The award-winning airline operates a fleet of more than 60 seaplanes and provides services to numerous resorts across the country.

The record was achieved at a time of strong tourist arrivals to the Maldives. On Saturday, the country recorded 11,136 tourist arrivals in a single day, the highest daily figure in its history.
