Traffic Adjustments Announced for IOIG 2023 Arrival Ceremony

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has released a traffic adjustment plan for tonight in anticipation of the forthcoming ceremony commemorating the arrival of Maldivian athletes participating in the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) 2023.

These measures are scheduled to take effect tonight, commencing at 7:00 PM and continuing until the conclusion of the ceremony. 

In accordance with the plan outlined by MPS, areas and roads encompassing Republic Square, notably Ameer Ahmed Magu, Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu, and Jumhooree Hingun, will be temporarily closed to facilitate the event.
