Two Arrested in Drug Case in Kulhudhuffushi City

Two men have been arrested in Kulhudhuffushi in connection with a drug-related case, according to the Maldives Police Service.

Police identified the suspects as Mohamed Shakir, 47, of H.Dh. Hanimaadhoo/Nasru, and Mohamed Ibrahim, 38, of H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi/Moonreef.

Authorities said 13 rubber packets containing suspected drugs were recovered from Mohamed Ibrahim, while one packet containing suspected drugs was seized from Mohamed Shakir.

A court has remanded Mohamed Ibrahim in custody for seven days. Mohamed Shakir has been remanded in custody for five days. Police confirmed that the case remains under investigation.
