Two Brothers Arrested in Counter-Narcotics Operation in Baarah

Two brothers from HA. Baarah were arrested on Sunday in a joint counter-narcotics operation carried out by the Baarah Police Station and the Counter-Narcotics Intelligence Department.

The arrests were made following intelligence received regarding suspected drug smuggling, peddling and use in the island. The suspects were identified by police as Ibrahim Kaleem, 34, and Abdulla Faseeh, 37, both registered at Carnation View in HA. Baarah. According to a local resident, the two are half-brothers who share the same mother.
Police raided a property linked to the suspects during the operation, where they seized 5.96 grams of a substance believed to be drugs.
The pair were presented before the court on Monday morning for their remand hearing. Faseeh was remanded in police custody for 15 days, while Kaleem was remanded for five days.
Police confirmed that the case remains under investigation.
