Police have arrested two individuals following a physical altercation involving a group of expatriates in Malé.
According to police, reports of the incident were received at around 11:30 p.m. last night, stating that a fight had broken out on Vaijehey Magu in the capital.
Authorities confirmed that two expatriates were arrested in connection with the incident, while investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Police have not disclosed the reasons behind the altercation at this stage.
Video footage of the incident has been circulating on social media, showing approximately ten expatriates involved in the confrontation. There has been speculation online that those involved may be employees of Jelly Takeaway, although this has not been officially confirmed.
