Two Injured in Car-Motorcycle Collision in Hulhumalé

Two individuals were injured in a road accident in Hulhumalé last night when a car collided with a motorcycle from behind.
Police confirmed that the incident was reported at 22:48. The motorcycle, which was travelling north to south along Fithuroanu Magu, was struck by a car approaching from the rear.
Two women who were riding as passengers on the motorcycle were taken to Hulhumalé Hospital. Their injuries were reported to be non-serious. Both vehicles sustained varying levels of damage in the collision. Authorities stated that the case remains under investigation.
Road accidents remain a common concern in the Maldives. Police statistics show that accidents are the second most reported category of incidents after theft, with 2,118 cases recorded so far this year.
