The reopening ceremony was officiated by the Mayor of the Male City Council, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. During his address at the event, Dr. Muizzu highlighted that these parks, originally established to provide enjoyment for both children and adults across various parts of the city, had unfortunately fallen into a state of neglect. He further pledged to revitalise and upgrade these parks, ensuring they are equipped with additional amenities to cater to the needs of the community.

Among the notable improvements is the inclusion of a small canteen within each park, providing visitors with refreshments during their leisurely visits. Additionally, a dustbin has been strategically placed within the premises to maintain cleanliness and uphold environmental standards.
The Male City Council has also announced ongoing renovation efforts for other parks within the city, with plans to reopen them in the near future.
