Two Suspects Apprehended in Connection with PG Shameem Attack

Police have apprehended two individuals in connection with the attack on Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem. 

Shameem was targeted while jogging in Male’ City yesterday morning, suffering injuries to his left arm inflicted by assailants on a motorbike.

Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau revealed in a press briefing this afternoon that the arrests were made shortly before the conference. He stated that preliminary investigations suggest the attack was premeditated and that the suspects had made efforts to conceal their identities.

Shujau further indicated that law enforcement suspects the involvement of additional individuals in orchestrating the assault.
