Umar’s Running Mate Saleem Supports Solih for Second Round

This announcement also comes after Umar had decided not to support any candidate in the second round of the presidential election.

Umar came 4th with 6343 votes during the first round of the presidential election. That’s 2.87% of the vote. It is noteworthy that Umar won fourth place by contesting as an independent candidate, beating JDP leader Gasim Ibrahim and MNP leader Mohammed Nazim who were believed to have bigger political capital.
