The Vara Expo 2025 has concluded in Hulhumalé after facilitating more than 1,100 job opportunities, along with hundreds of apprenticeship and internship placements.

According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development, the expo — held from 6 to 8 November — featured 146 exhibitors, providing access to 1,146 job vacancies, over 200 apprenticeship positions, and more than 500 internship opportunities.

Organised by the Ministry, the three-day event brought together educational institutions, training providers, and major employers. It served as a key platform for job placements, career guidance, and discussions on skills development and labour market trends.

The expo was officially inaugurated by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed on Thursday at Hulhumalé Central Park. During the opening ceremony, the First Lady launched Future-Ready Maldives: A New Era of Education and Skills, a publication detailing the Ministry’s achievements and ongoing initiatives to strengthen the national skills ecosystem.
