Veligandu Maldives Wins Alif Alif Zone Title at Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025

Veligandu Maldives won the Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 Alif Alif Zone title on 1 October 2025, defeating Kuramathi Maldives in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw in regular time. The final match was held at Kuramathi Maldives.
The match began with the players entering the pitch to the FIFA anthem, followed by the Maldivian national anthem. The opening ceremony included greetings from the chief guests before the match started.
Both teams maintained a goalless draw throughout regular time. The first round of penalties ended 4–4, leading to a sudden-death shootout in which Veligandu Maldives secured an 8–7 win to claim the Alif Alif Atoll Champion title.

Veligandu Maldives will now compete in the Zone Final against The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli, the Dhaalu Zone Champion, on 3 October 2025. The winner will advance to the Grand Semi-Final to face Crossroads Maldives, the South Kaafu Zone Champion.
The Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup, now in its fourth year, is sponsored by Dhiraagu. The tournament provides a platform for resort-based football teams across the Maldives to participate in a nationwide competition.
