Vice President Attends Closing Ceremony of Thila Uthuru Futsal Tournament 2025

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended the closing ceremony of the Thila Uthuru Futsal Tournament 2025 yesterday at the Utheemu Football Ground as the guest of honour.

He was welcomed by Haa Alif Atoll Council President Moosa Shafeeq and Utheemu Island Council President Abdulla Rasheed.

In his address, the Vice President described the tournament as an important milestone and a social initiative that strengthens community bonds and generates economic benefits. He also thanked the Atoll Council for organising the event and reaffirmed the Government’s support for future competitions.

The final match saw Utheemu defeat Muraidhoo to claim the championship. Vice President Latheef presented the King of the Tournament title, along with gold medals and the championship trophy, to the winning team.
