VP Arrives in UAE to Attend the World Governments Summit 2025

Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai, on an official visit yesterday to attend the World Government Summit 2025, held from February 11-13, 2025.
Upon arrival, the Vice President was received by Dr Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation – Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This year, the World Governments Summit will be held under the theme “Shaping Future Governments.” The Summit will unite governments, international organisations, thought leaders, and private sector leaders worldwide to promote international cooperation and identify innovative solutions for future challenges.

The Vice President is scheduled to deliver a statement at the Climate Change Forum and hold meetings with dignitaries attending the summit.
Last year, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the World Government Summit 2024, where he announced a vision for the Maldives’ future focused on achieving sustainable development.
