Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef paid a courtesy call on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, as part of the ongoing engagements during the Prime Minister’s state visit to the Maldives.
During the meeting, the Vice President and Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed the strong and longstanding ties between the Maldives and India, underscoring a relationship built on mutual trust, shared history, and deep-rooted people-to-people connections.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in capacity-building, youth empowerment, and the health sector, with both sides recognising the importance of collaborative efforts in driving sustainable development.
Concluding the call, Vice President Latheef and Prime Minister Modi reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and supporting initiatives that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes for both nations.
