WAMCO Slashes Fees for Private Waste Collectors in Male’

Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) has announced a reduction in fees for private garbage disposal workers operating in the Male’ area.
Currently, independent facilities are charged MVR 1,060 for garbage disposal services. However, in a recent statement issued by WAMCO, the company revealed its decision to lower the fee for private garbage disposal vehicles to MVR 750, effective from the 1st of the upcoming month.

In addition to this adjustment, WAMCO outlined a service fee of MVR 150 per vehicle for private citizens, state companies, and state-affiliated entities availing themselves of garbage disposal services at WAMCO facilities.
Furthermore, WAMCO specified that state facilities and affiliated companies will be subject to a disposal fee based on the weight of the garbage, set at MVR 2,660 per ton.
Regarding facilities lacking bridges, WAMCO clarified that a fee of MVR 750 will be levied for garbage disposal services provided to citizens.
