White Alert Issued Across Northern and Central Maldives: Strong Winds and Rough Seas Forecast

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert from Haa Alifu Atoll to Faafu Atoll.
These alerts are in effect from 06:00 hours to 12:00 hours today.

The forecasts warn of strong winds of 22 – 27mph and gusts of 40mph, with rough seas expected.
Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
White alert: Alert Level 1
Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
Orange warning: Alert Level 3
Red warning: Alert Level 4
