White Alert Issued from Shaviyani to Gaafu Dhaalu Atolls

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert from Shaviyani to Gaafu Dhaalu Atolls.
These alerts are in effect from 10:00 hours to 16:00 hours today.

The forecast warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds ranging from 19 to 24 mph, gusts reaching up to 40 mph, and rough sea conditions.
Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
White alert: Alert Level 1
Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
Orange warning: Alert Level 3
Red warning: Alert Level 4
