White Alert Issued Northern and Central Regions: Strong Winds and Rough Seas Expected

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert from Haa Alifu to Thaa Atolls.
These alerts are in effect from 11:00 hours to 17:00 hours today.

The forecasts warn of gusty winds and rough seas reaching 19 – 24mph.
Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
White alert: Alert Level 1
Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
Orange warning: Alert Level 3
Red warning: Alert Level 4
