White Alert Issued Over Southern Area

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert today for the region spanning from Laamu Atoll to Addu City.

The white alert is in effect from 10:00 to 16:00, today. The forecast warns of heavy rains with thunderstorms expected.

• Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
