Muizzu highlighted his concerns about the current level of funding allocated to local councils in the state budget. He pledged to increase financial support to these councils if he were to be elected as the nation’s leader.

His vision revolves around ensuring that local councils receive adequate resources to effectively carry out their responsibilities.

In addition to bolstering financial support, Muizzu outlined his intentions to assist local councils in expanding and diversifying their development initiatives on the various islands. He specifically noted the untapped tourism potential in Finey and pledged to actively seek investors to enhance and grow the island’s tourism sector.
