Police Investigate Sexual Assault Case Involving 24-Year-Old Woman in Male’

Police have revealed that they are investigating a case of sexual assault involving a 24-year-old woman who sought assistance from officers on a Male’ road this Sunday.

According to a statement released group by the Police yesterday, officers escorted the woman to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after she requested assistance. The hospital later informed the Police that the woman had been sexually assaulted.

The Police confirmed that the case is being treated as a serious matter and is under active investigation. The victim is currently receiving medical care and psychosocial support.
