Barceló Nasandhura Male’ Confirmed as Hosting Partner of the 7th Carrom World Cup

The Carrom Association of Maldives (CAM) proudly announces Barceló Nasandhura Male’ as the Official Hosting Partner for the 7th Carrom World Cup 2025.

The 7th Carrom World Cup is organised by the Carrom Association of Maldives in association with the Ministry of Sports, Fitness & Recreation, and under the aegis of the International Carrom Federation (ICF). On Wednesday, CAM and Barceló Nasandhura Male’ signed the hosting agreement, with Hussain Raushaan, General Secretary of CAM, and Enric Reina, D. General Manager of Barceló Nasandhura Male’, representing their respective sides.

Barceló Nasandhura Male’, operated by the Barceló Hotel Group, is Malé’s highest-rated hotel. The 16-story property features 136 rooms, including 95 sea-view rooms, along with 116 serviced apartments. As a premier five-star urban

hotel, it offers a blend of luxury, culture, and state-of-the-art facilities, making it the ideal venue for this prestigious event. The partnership reflects a shared vision between CAM and Barceló Nasandhura Male’ to deliver an unforgettable championship experience for players and fans alike.

The 7th Carrom World Cup, scheduled for early December 2025 at Barceló Nasandhura Male’, will welcome around 200 athletes from more than 20 countries across four continents. This edition will mark the largest participation in the history of the Carrom World Cup, further cementing the Maldives’ reputation as an emerging hub for international sports tourism.

The Carrom World Cup is the ICF’s most celebrated tournament, returning to the Maldives after more than a decade. The previous edition hosted in the country was in 2014 at Sun Island Resort. At the 6th World Cup, held last year in the United States, the Maldives secured bronze medals in both the men’s and women’s team competitions.
