Youth From Gaafu Alifu Vilingili Dies in Motorcycle Accident

A youth from Gaafu Alifu Vilingili has died following a motorcycle accident on the island earlier this week.

26-year-old Vikash Ahmed was injured in the crash late on Monday night and was transferred to Male’ on Tuesday for further medical treatment.

He passed away while receiving care at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and was laid to rest after noon prayers today.

Police reported that Vikash’s motorcycle collided with the wall of a house. Officers on patrol found him around 1:30 am, unconscious after the crash.
