Youth Remanded in Custody in Malé Assault Case

A youth has been arrested in connection with the case of an 18-year-old woman who was allegedly held against her will and physically assaulted in a residence in Malé City.

The police received a report on Tuesday at 18:11 regarding the incident.

They later confirmed the arrest of 19-year-old Ahmed Ahil Munaz, of H. Four Season, K. Malé, in connection with the case.

Ahmed Ahil Munaz has been remanded in custody for 15 days following his presentation in court. The police have stated that the case remains under further investigation.
